Homes in Denver tops nation for price growth, up 8.4% in January from a year earlier according to S&P/Case-Shiller Home Prices Index. The year-over-year rise in home resale prices tops the 20 major U.S. Markets where the average increase was 4.6%. Nationwide the year-over-year increase was 4.5%. This was biggest increase for metro Denver homes since last April, when homes increased 8.9%. Respectively,  Denver in homes saw an increase of 8.1% in December, 7.5% in November, and 7.2% in October. This was the 37th consecutive month of year-over-year price increase in the metro Denver area.
